Our client’s bulb intake, testing, and reporting process had become inefficient, causing them to report outdated data to customers and bulb manufacturers.
We created a modern, scalable cloud-based web application that streamlined the entire process from bulb intake to data reporting.
The solution streamlined the recording of test results, making it substantially more efficient, while relaying more reliable data to customers.
The client faced several challenges with its existing bulb intake, testing, and reporting processes. These processes had become sluggish, and the data reported to customers and bulb manufacturers were frequently outdated.
Their reliance on Excel spreadsheets for data maintenance had grown cumbersome and unmanageable, leading to inaccuracies in bulb intake and inventory management.
The recording of test results was prone to duplication and inaccuracies. Bulb manufacturer reports were manually crafted, contributing to inefficiencies and additional stress amongst employees. Test results for new bulb models were not available on our client’s commercial and residential compatibility websites in a timely manner, which caused frustration for customers.
To address these challenges, we developed a web application to record testing data from bulb models and make it available on the compatibility websites.
Our team created a scalable cloud-based web application that streamlined the entire process from bulb intake to data reporting. This web tool allowed the data to be published directly to a customer-facing website and featured an LED compatibility tool that customers could reference easily.
Transitioning from using thousands of individual spreadsheets to a comprehensive web-based application enabled multi-user support and significantly reduced data handling errors.
Our solution also automated the creation of bulb manufacturer reports in PDF format and synchronized the data with our client’s commercial and residential compatibility websites, ensuring consistent and reliable information across all platforms.
The implementation of our solution significantly improved our client’s LED testing process, making it substantially more efficient and accurate.
Test results are now reported immediately to bulb manufacturers, eliminating delays and data inaccuracies.
Furthermore, the compatibility websites are consistently up to date, assisting both commercial and residential customers in easily finding compatible products when they are shopping in-store or online for replacements for their existing lighting system. Imagine, for example, shopping in your favorite big box store, unable to discern whether the bulb will work with your lighting system. The timely, accurate information helps to eliminate this issue.
